Purposive Communication
WEB BLOG ENTRY. Look for an online content/post available in Facebook, Twitter, and other website. Take a screenshot and explain how the post adheres or violates communication ethics. You may use the guide questions below.

1. Does the post show supports or violates communication ethics such as: truthfulness, accuracy, freedom of expression, honesty, diversity of perspective etc? How and why?
•Yes, this post shows support for the proper communication ethics, such as freedom of expression, because this post refers to the right to express one’s opinions or thoughts freely without lying, and accuracy, because the post represents in real life that there’s also an individual who really loves to help others without expecting the return of their help.
2. Does the post condemn communication, degrade individual, contain distortion coercion, violence and other related aspects? How and why?
•No, because the post shows concern for others, with love and care, even without expecting a replacement as a return of the goodwill he gave to her. As a result, this post did not condemn degraded individuals, distortions, coercion, or even violent action.
3. Why does unethical communication threaten the quality of all communication, and consequently the wellbeing of individuals and society in which we live?
•Because of unethical communication, if people always choose to communicate dishonestly or lie in the way they deliver their words or messages, it may become normal for them to be that way, causing a lot of conflict for the individual because the information is now exaggerated and untrue. So that’s why unethical communication can threaten the quality of all communication and can have consequences for the wellbeing of individuals in the society in which we live. Because instead of improving circumstances, unethical communication may make them worse.
4. What positive or negative consequences do you think may arise from this post?
•In my opinion, the positive consequences that may arise from this post are that it may inspire people that if we are in a situation where we need to help someone who is suffering from their struggle, just like in the post, we need to help them even though we know that they can’t help us back, because helping someone without expecting a return is a very important thing nowadays, just like the words that I always hear in the commercial for the superhero movie say, “The biggest sin is that when you have the ability to help but you do nothing, so that’s the word that will arise from this post.
5. Why is it important to be ethical in communicating nowadays especially in the time where social media is trending?
•It is important because nowadays, the majority of the social media users accidentally violate the private lives of other users, so this can cause depression to the victim. Therefore, being ethical while we communicate is the most important thing because with the personality of being professional, responsible, loyal, and respectful to others, this can avoid us in conflict situations since we choose to be trustworthy people. And the most important thing about being equipped with this is that we have a lot of positive things we can get to the others we communicate with. Just like what I said above, this can lead us to have a better and more comfortable quality of life.
